American Musical Theatre of San Jose proudly offers a training program for technical theatre at our studios located at 1717 Technology Drive in San Jose. The Technical Theatre Institute meets five days a week, six hours a day, for three weeks to build skills in set design, craft construction, lighting design and more! All classes are taught by current, working professionals. We are committed to the personal development of each participant. This exciting program is open to students, ages 14 and up. Tuition: $400. Partial and full scholarships are available.

Graduates of the Technical Theatre Institute may also have opportunities to further their careers by working in the AMTSJ Scene Shop, Crafts Shop, or Costume Shop. Job shadowing and internships also available during our production season.
