Educational Matinee Program

Educational Matinee for Season 2009-2010 Coming in January!

AMTSJ usually offers at least one, special matinee performance of a family-oriented show for K-12 students and educators each season. The Educational Matinee is scheduled for a special performance time. Tickets are available at a discounted rate for just $8 per ticket. Educational Study Guides are available online for teachers and they can be mailed upon request. The study guides help prepare students for seeing live theatre, as well as provide pre and post-show activities across the curriculum. Students are also welcome to bring their lunches and have a picnic on the adjacent lawn after the show. 

AMTSJ's Educational Matinee Ticketing Policy:   We allow one (1) Teacher/Chaperone for every 10 students at the $8 ticket price. Additional Teachers/Chaperones are $20/person.

The Educational Matinee takes place at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts, 255 Almaden Boulevard, in downtown San Jose.
